Are you looking to join a lean team and get broader exposure? This reputable insurer is looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to join their head office in London. Reporting to the Group Company Secretary and mentoring a junior, you will have a wide remit, which includes attending and minuting board and committee meetings, ensuring compliance and promoting good governance as well as getting involved in ad hoc projects. For this role, we are looking for someone highly organised and proactive. Previous experience in a regulated environment/financial services is desirable.



  • Organise meetings of the Board of Directors and its Subsidiary companies
  • Attend Board and committee meetings and prepare minutes of the proceedings
  • Prepare draft agendas for Board, Board Committee and Subsidiary Board meetings
  • Collate Board report packs
  • Promote strong corporate governance practices
  • Maintain corporate records at Companies House and on GEMs

Experience and qualifications

  • Fully or Part-ICSA qualified
  • Previous minuting experience is essential
  • Previous financial experience is desirable but not essential
