A leading Financial Services company is searching for a hands-on and resilient Assistant Company Secretary to support and deputise for the Group Company Secretary. The successful candidate will provide high level board support, working directly with senior management as well as work on ad-hoc projects to facilitate and ensure an excellent corporate governance standard within all entities of the group.


This role is ideal for someone with proven post qualification experience in a similar role, has an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail and can maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and advisers. If this sounds like you, get in touch today!

 

Responsibilities

  • To assist in all areas of company secretarial work and to provide expert advice to directors and senior management on corporate law and corporate governance matters as agreed with the Group Company Secretary.
  • To assist in servicing a significant programme of meetings for the board, their committees and executive committee.
  • To assist the Group Company Secretary with the preparation and timely circulation of papers and agendas for board and committee meetings.
  • To provide assistance with the statutory year end process.
  • To be responsible for statutory books and Companies Act filings for the Group entities, using Blueprint OneWorld and oversight of regulatory filings for overseas entities.
  • To be responsible for the central management of policies and technical papers and enable timely reporting to Boards/Board Committees and Regulators.

Experience and qualifications

  • ACIS qualified or equivalent.
  • Extensive board support exposure.
  • Proven post qualification experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
