Mariza chose to leave the sunny island of Crete to move to Sheffield where she gained a 2.1 degree in Psychology from Sheffield University and since graduating has moved to London. Her interest in psychology and people has led her naturally to pursue a career within recruitment.
Initially joining The Core Partnership as a Researcher, Mariza gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this niche market and quickly progessed to become a Recruitment Partner. She has a particular interest in corporate governance in the Charity and Not-For-Profit sector and has worked with organisations of all sizes in developing their governance frameworks and enhancing their company secretarial functions.
As well as working on permanent roles, and across all industries, Mariza has chosen to focus on developing the expanding interim market for Company Secretaries and governance professionals. She enjoys the challenge that the fast-paced nature of this market provides. By staying in regular contact with the full network of interims, she is able to provide immediate solutions for clients who require temporary assistance covering busy periods, increased workload, a backlog or recruitment 'stop gaps' or maternity/ paternity/ adoption absence.
Despite her friendly and approachable style, Mariza is voraciously tenacious and takes pride in delivering results within agreed client deadlines. A strong team-player with a competitive streak, Mariza is always the first to volunteer herself and colleagues at our social events and has a number of trophies, including one for beer pong!
