Having studied Psychology at the University of Sheffield, Mariza’s interest in people led her naturally to pursue a career within recruitment and The Core Partnership ticked all of her boxes, as a values-driven recruitment consultancy with a collaborative culture.
Initially, joining as a Researcher, Mariza gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this niche market, quickly progressing to become Recruitment Partner and later joining the Board as a Director, following the company’s move to employee ownership. With nearly 10 years’ experience and having developed The Core Partnership’s interim desk, as well as successfully placing candidates at all levels within Charity and Not-For-Profit organisations, she is now working with major FTSE companies, complex private limited groups and leading consultancies.
Mariza enjoys the challenge that the fast-paced nature of this market provides and staying in regular contact with the full network of Company Secretarial and Governance professionals. Her empathetic and insightful approach and commitment to matching the right person with the right role have secured her a position as a leading expert in this niche market. She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an Affiliate of the Chartered Governance Institute, with a keen interest in ED&I and gender equality in the workplace.
In her spare time she enjoys long walks with her rescue dog, Dexter, spending quality time with her family and catching up with friends. You might also find her sampling what the culinary scene in London has to offer, perhaps before a night at the theatre.
