An exciting opportunity to work as Company Secretary in this newly created role for a private company that manages a property investment for a family estate. Working as their 1st time Company Secretary – where you will work with the Operations Director – will see you guiding the company’s tight-knit team and driving decision in the boardroom. You may be working as an Assistant CoSec and looking to ‘step up’ into the ‘number 1’ role.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as Secretary to all of the business’ boards and committees, including the management of the company calendar, preparation of meeting packs and agendas, taking and producing minutes and resolutions, and driving actions
  • Maintain the company’s statutory books
  • Manage any corporate restructurings, transfers/allotments of shares, changes etc
  • Be in charge of wider compliance, including data protection, health and safety and insurance provision and certification
  • Manage and administer payroll, pension, and benefits, including year end and renewal processes and manage HR administration when necessary

Experience and Qualifications

  • ICSA qualified (or similar recognised Chartered qualification)
  • Strong minute-taking experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to build relationships with people of varying importance
  • Excellent organisation skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a busy environment
