We are working exclusively with a worldwide professional association , who are looking for a Governance Manager to join their team. The role holder will manage the Governance Team and its output and will provide clear, authoritative and impartial advice on governance procedures to the Board and other interested parties. The post holder will work particularly closely with the Governance Committee and its Chair, along with the CEO and will report to the COO.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting all governance related policies
  • Line management of 1 member of the team
  • Manage election processes of officers and committee members
  • Conduct the AGM ensuring compliance will all legal requirements
  • Act as Secretary for the Governance Committee

Experience and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience working in a governance function or of the management of formal committees with often complex agendas
  • Previous project management experience and stakeholder management
  • Membership body experience desirable
  • Experience working in an international environment desirable

Attitudes and Behaviours

  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with senior members and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
