An international FTSE250, which has global operations, is looking to hire an exceptional Senior Assistant Company Secretary in their London office, reporting to a well-respected Group Company Secretary. To thrive in this role you will need to be driven, and a self-starter who is confident to work autonomously. Due to the small team size, there is opportunity to gain exposure to the full spectrum of listed responsibilities making the role incredibly diverse. The ideal candidate will need to have solid understanding of listing rules and exceptional minute writing skills as you will be responsible for a number of their Board Committees and Management Committees. Interestingly, if you do not have prior plc experience but possess exceptional meetings experience there is a chance the Group CoSec will offer training. Key responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end management of Board and Committees
  • Support the Group Company Secretary with the listed responsibilities from organising the AGM, to RNS announcements, share transactions to drafting governance sections of the annual report.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the corporate calendar, maintenance of statutory registers and respond to shareholder queries.
  • Review policies and updates to ensure the highest governance standards are kept
  • Working on strategic governance projects and continuously improving governance.


Qualifications and Experience

  • CGI qualified
  • Experience in a FTSE listed business is beneficial.
  • A self-starter who is used to working with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and UK Corporate Governance Code.
  • Strong minute writing
